EXPLORING AMERICA!
The Greatest Country in the World
Richard and Jingru’s photography journeys across the USA showcases the incredible diversity of the country's landscapes and events, with their homes in New York and Las Vegas serving as ideal bases. From the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon to the beautiful fall colors of New England, their work captures the raw beauty of America's natural wonders. Their keen eye for detail allows them to bring the vastness of these locations to life, whether it’s the striking reds and oranges of canyon walls or the vivid red forests of the northeast.
In addition to nature photography, they have ventured into the dynamic world of events and cultural gatherings. Motocross racing and horse racing are both filled with energy and motion, presenting unique challenges in freezing high-speed moments. Renaissance Faires, with their vibrant costumes and lively re-enactments, offer a nostalgic look at the past, which Richard and Jingru document with authenticity and charm. Air shows and tractor parades also find a place in their portfolio, capturing the spirit of American ingenuity and community.
Their love for wildlife extends to various locations across the USA, including photographing the peaceful lighthouses along the coastlines. Through their travels, they weave together a rich tapestry of experiences, portraying the vast array of subjects the country has to offer—from rural life and traditions to modern, high-octane sporting events.

“Grand Canyon” from the South Rim in Arizona. Rich hiked about halfway to the river. Sat on a cliff and enjoyed the fantastic view. But on his way back up the winding trail the temperature changed rapidly from mild to freezing and back again to even more freezing with each turn around the cliffs. Sweat for one minute and chill the next! Leg cramps set in, so he sat down and drank his last water bottle. A little more climbing and the cramps became increasing worse. Fortunately, a fellow hiker shared some of his last water, and he made it back to the trailhead — Jingru Luo
